At Harris Movers & Storage, we offer expedient moving and storage solutions for home and business owners. Our 46-acre storage facilities in Sudbury, ON offer more than 400 units available. Tell us about your concerns. We are more than happy to provide you with answers to all your questions.
What is self-storage?
Self-storage units are rooms of varying sizes you can rent to contain your possessions. They can be used for the short-term or the long-term and can be heated or unheated. During business hours, you bring your goods by and lock them in.
People use self-storage for many reasons. Some just want to store important items off-site to free their homes from clutter. Others might be travelling or moving. However you use it, self-storage is a convenient solution to your needs.
What unit sizes are available?
We have the following units available:
- 5’ x 8’
- 8’ x 8’
- 8’ x 10’
- 8’ x 12’
- 8’ x 20’
- 10’ x 20’
- 8’ x 45’
Additionally, we also have outdoor car, RV, and boat storage available at a separate charge.
How do I know my belongings are secure?
In addition to a state-of-the-art private code access security gate, video surveillance, and security patrolled grounds, we offer some units that are individually alarmed and connected to a security dispatch office. We provide the best security available to keep your items safe.
What are your hours?
Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Gate access to the storage facility is allowed every day from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the summer months. In the winter months, daily gate access time is from 8:00 a.m. top 5:00 p.m.
What if I want to access my items on the weekend?
Weekend storage access is available throughout the year. From May to October, you can access your unit from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. From October to May, unit access hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
What if I want to transfer to a bigger or smaller unit?
You can easily transfer units if your space needs change. Any rent paid to your previous unit will be prorated to the new one.
Do I have to sign a lease?
No, you simply sign a standard storage agreement.
How do I pay for self-storage?
We accept cash payments and those made via Visa, MasterCard, and Interac.
How do I bring my items to storage?
You bring your items in your own car, or you can rent a truck from us for larger deliveries. Trollies are available on-site.
What can I not store in my unit?
You can store almost anything, except the following:
- Cash or Securities
- Illegal or Stolen Items
- Food or Perishable Items
- Animals or Plants
- Firearms and Munitions
- Hazardous, Radioactive, Noxious, Explosive or Otherwise Harmful Goods
